MH5 Ltd is a privately owned business and proud franchisee of Hertz Australia. We operate in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and are seeking a Management Accountant to support our finance function as the business continues to grow.
This is a hands-on role suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys management reporting, financial analysis and supporting decision-making, while working closely with the CFO and finance team.
About the role
The Management Accountant will support the delivery of accurate management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and financial analysis across the business. The role contributes to improving financial visibility and insight, while supporting ongoing process and system improvements within the finance function.
This is an individual contributor role. Accountability for finance team leadership, governance and operational ownership remains with the CFO.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
* Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
* Assist with cashflow reporting and working capital analysis
* Provide financial analysis and insights to support CFO-led performance reviews
* Support statutory and compliance reporting requirements (BAS, GST, PAYG, FBT)
* Contribute to improvements in finance systems, reporting and workflows
* Work collaboratively with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Assistant Accountant roles
* Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
About you
* CA or CPA qualified (or working toward qualification)
* 3+ years' experience in a Management Accountant or Senior Accountant role
* Strong management accounting, reporting and analytical capability
* Experience in a multi-site or operational business environment preferred
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Strong attention to detail and ability to translate financial data into practical insights
