Senior Lecturer - Postgraduate Psychology
Senior Lecturer in postgraduate psychology at CQUniversity's School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences.
Position Summary
This role offers the opportunity to inspire the next generation of psychologists, preparing them for registration and practice, and to contribute to curriculum innovation and accreditation compliance. The position is available remotely (excluding the Southeast Queensland region) or on campus, with full‑time preferred and part‑time negotiable for those wishing to maintain a small clinical caseload.
Remuneration
Total remuneration $162,470 to $184,987 per annum (including salary of $137,290 to $156,317 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading).
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver postgraduate psychology units, including the Master of Clinical Psychology, Master of Clinical Psychology (Advanced Entry), and Master of Professional Psychology programmes.
* Supervise honours and postgraduate students.
* Contribute to curriculum development, innovation and accreditation compliance.
* Maintain engagement with evidence‑based practice and workforce‑ready training to meet demand for psychological services across Australia.
Qualifications
* Doctoral qualification (PhD or equivalent) in psychology, plus a Masters‑level qualification meeting registration requirements or a professional doctorate combining these elements.
* General registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist.
* Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education.
* Experience in curriculum development and multi‑modal teaching.
* Approval (or eligibility) to supervise provisional psychologists.
