The Role This consultancy is seeking an Associate / Principal Structural Engineer to join the Buildings team in their Sydney office.
The role will be suitable for a structural design expert experienced in building projects.
They are currently working on a wide range of healthcare, commercial, residential, industrial, and educational building projects.
In this role, you will be a technical and business leader within the structural section, influencing the design and project delivery of all assigned projects.
You will work independently on various projects, managing workload across different stages of completion.
Apart from your technical expertise, you will be client-facing, involved in developing new business, networking, and stakeholder management.
The Responsibilities Undertake structural engineering assessments and calculations for detailed building designs.
Assist the Structural Team in successfully completing projects, focusing on program, documentation, profitability, technical aspects, risk management, and client satisfaction.
Provide technical competence in planning and designing complex projects.
Communicate with clients and stakeholders, including authorities and commercial entities.
Develop trusted relationships with project stakeholders to achieve efficient, cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
Demonstrate high technical knowledge, providing oversight and supervision for successful project delivery.
The Requirements Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
Experience in structural design of buildings, preferably in consultancy.
Thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant standards.
Proficiency in RAM Concept and ETABS software.
Knowledge of building stability analysis and detailing.
Experience in business development and stakeholder management.
Knowledge of post-tensioned and reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal abilities.
