We have an opportunity for an Analyst to join the Planning, Reporting & Analysis team at our Sydney Office.
**The Opportunity**
In this role you will provide accurate and timely analysis, reporting and forecasting information to help support decision making.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Support the process of benchmarking business performance internally; prepare internal benchmark information to specific needs to allow decision making.
- Support the preparation of reports to monitor key performance drivers.
- Support the building of strong working relationships with key stakeholders to solve issues, leverage opportunities and influence business performance.
- Ensure understanding of and performance consistent with applicable internal and external compliance and regulatory requirements as well as internal escalation procedures.
- Support the preparation of finance components of the Business Unit's/ State's strategy.
- Support the preparation of ad-hoc reports and analysis, as part of the reporting process.
- Support the preparation of accurate management reports on behalf of Business Units/ Divisions.
- Support the preparation of performance analysis versus developed budgets/plans/forecasts, identifying variances and potential influencing factors.
- Follow business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes in a timely manner, identifying and escalating opportunities for process improvement.
- Support in ensuring that monthly, half year and annual reports and other financial reporting is delivered in line with deadlines.
- Perform general account, provisions and accruals, providing commentary and insight.
**About You**
- Appropriate tertiary qualification/s is required
- Experience in analytical focussed roles in finance and/or accounting
- Strong Excel skills is required
- Demonstrated analytical and financial modelling skills
- Demonstrated time management skills and working under pressure to meet deadlines
