Aviation Maintenance Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Maintenance Professional to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or avionics systems and hold a CASA Licence (B1 Mechanical or B2 Avionics).

You will be required to perform line maintenance and heavy maintenance on aircraft, including dismantling, inspecting, testing, and repairing various systems.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance carried out is certified correctly, in accordance with CASA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform line maintenance and heavy maintenance on aircraft;
* Dismantling, inspecting, testing, and repairing various aircraft systems;
* Ensuring that all maintenance carried out is certified correctly, IAW CASA regulations;
* Conducting routine servicing of aircraft, including component replacements and fluid servicing;
* Conducting routine pre-flight inspections of engines and propellers, aircraft mechanical systems and structure;
* Replacing mechanical components, including hydraulic actuators, engines and components, landing gear and flight controls;
* Executing post-repair functional tests;
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with technical documentation.

Essential Requirements:

* 3+ years mechanical experience on turboprop aircraft (preferably with B350 experience);
* Trade Certificate IV (Aeroskills) Mechanical or Avionics;
* CASA Licence (B1 Mechanical or B2 Avionics);
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of line and hangar maintenance;
* Strong team player;
* Ability to follow supervisory direction;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
* Passion for safe work practices;
* Valid work visa;
* Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain); and,
* Current Australian Driver's licence.
