About the Role
We're seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic Roofing Division at our Richlands branch. This is a varied and fast‑paced role that combines operational and administrative responsibilities, ensuring smooth workflows and exceptional service to our builders and suppliers. If you're organised, proactive, and thrive in a busy environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What You'll Do
* Ordering metal roofing materials and flashings
* Interpreting two‑dimensional drawings as three‑dimensional objects
* Managing Measure and Install call‑up notifications
* Updating estimated install schedules
* Coordinating service requests, warranty jobs, and rectifications
* Lodging service inspections and repairs
* Liaising with builders and suppliers to provide timely updates
* Accurate data entry and record keeping
* Problem‑solving and finding effective solutions
* Supporting the Operations team to meet workflow demands
What We're Looking For
* Time management and organisational skills
* An understanding of the metal roofing, fascia and gutter industry will be highly advantageous.
* Good computer and maths skills
* High attention to detail
* Ability to visualise drawings in 3D
* Be able and willing to learn internal systems.
* Reliable, effective, and efficient in their work.
* Abides by company safety policies and procedures.
* Residential construction background (on site or in office)
* Is a team player: uses initiative to assist other staff members
