About The Role
As the Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the science department by ensuring the efficient operation of laboratories and resources and by fostering a safe and engaging environment for students to explore and excel in science education.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and maintaining laboratory materials, equipment, and chemical solutions for practical teaching use.
* Ensuring the safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and laboratory waste in compliance with departmental guidelines.
* Supporting science teaching staff with demonstrations, equipment use, and STEM initiatives to enhance student engagement.
* Maintaining accurate records of inventory, stock, and laboratory protocols, and managing the science budget.
* Organising and prioritising daily tasks to support student learning outcomes effectively.
This role would suit an organised and proactive individual with a passion for science and education, who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
