We are seeking a reliable and motivated Farm Hand to join our team in Echuca, Victoria. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a passion for broadacre farming and proven experience in crop irrigation systems. You'll play a key role in supporting seasonal cropping programs and ensuring optimal irrigation performance across the farm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with planting, spraying, harvesting, and general crop management activities
* Operate and maintain crop irrigation systems
* Operate tractors, loaders, ATVs, headers, sprayers and other farm machinery
* Carry out machinery maintenance and basic repairs
* Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, pipes, and other irrigation infrastructure
* Carry out general farm maintenance, including mowing lawns, cleaning sheds, and tidying work areas
* Perform general farm duties as needed to support smooth operations
What You'll Bring:
* Previous experience as a farm hand, particularly with broadacre farming operations
* Hands on experience in crop irrigation and knowledge of irrigation scheduling principles
* Mechanically minded with the ability to operate and maintain farm machinery
* A current HR Truck licence is desirable
* Strong work ethic with a proactive and can-do attitude
* Willingness to work flexible hours during peak periods
* Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
