About the role
BRT SYSTEMS' is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in Rockhampton, QLD. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our electrical infrastructure across our operations.
What you'll be doing
* Performing a variety of electrical installation both new and upgrades, maintaining these upgrades including fault finding, diagnostics and repair tasks
* Construct and Install new Switchboards, VF Drives, Soft Starters, Motors, Control gear
* Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues in a timely manner
* Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest safety standards and in compliance with relevant regulations
* Documenting work completed and providing detailed reports
* Collaborating with other tradespeople and technicians as required
* Participating in ongoing training to keep skills and knowledge up to date
What we're looking for
* Formal qualification as an Electrician, with a current electrical license
* Demonstrated experience in fixed plant machinery/factory process equipment
* Good understanding of PLC's, VF Drives, Soft Starters, Automation control systems
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* The ability to read and interpret drawings
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Demonstrated sound and competent knowledge of AS/NZ 3000 (Wiring Rules)
* Willingness to work outside normal business hours if required
