Ongoing Part Time – 76 hours per fortnight

An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Occupational Therapist to join the Allied Health team at Portland District Health.

In this role is you are responsible for delivering safe and effective clinical care that requires a higher level of clinical decision making that is relevant to occupational therapy practice. You practice and deliver occupational therapy services across the acute, subacute, outpatient, aged care, and community based settings within Portland. You support the development of clinical and leadership skills in staff placed under your responsibility and less experienced occupational therapists, allied health assistants and students, whilst contributing to the quality, safety and risk management programs for the clinical unit/department

About you:

* Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, and holds a current registration
* Post Graduate clinical qualification(s) in speciality area of practice
* Extensive clinical knowledge, skills and leadership experience in occupational therapy.
* Demonstrated sound advanced clinical assessment and analysis skills and knowledge, and ability to implement indicated treatments for individuals and groups.
* Demonstrated excellent communication skills, written and verbal
* Understanding of relevant accreditation and funding systems, and demonstrated ability to manage continuous improvement portfolio

Portland District Health (PDH) provides an integrated health service for the community. The hospital was established in 1856 on the current site and now provides a comprehensive range of services that include:

* Hospital based Medical and Surgical services, Medical Imaging (Radiology), Pharmacy and Pathology
