About the Role
As an Agile Delivery Lead, you’ll own the delivery of complex digital and AI-enabled initiatives from scoping through to clean transition into service. You hold real authority, make real commitments, and are accountable for turning plans into outcomes that stick.
You will plan, sequence and steer delivery across agile, waterfall and hybrid methods, applying whichever approach serves the initiative and the outcome. You will run sprint planning and PI planning preparation, actively remove blockers, manage scope, budget, risk and dependencies with discipline. You’ll maintain a clear view across active workstreams and provide honest, outcome-focused updates that leaders can trust.
Working shoulder-to-shoulder with design, engineering and business leaders you bring influence and translate intent into delivery. This includes facilitating backlog refinement, shaping well-scoped commitments, and ensuring design artefacts are ready for governance and investment decisions.
Harnessing AI tools will support planning, forecasting and reporting, applying human judgement to validate AI-generated insights before they reach governance. Above all, you will keep delivery focused, legible and moving forward, right through to a clean transition into service.
This is a 2 year maximum term contract until June 2028.

About you
You’re a delivery leader who thrives in complexity and takes ownership without hesitation. You know how to apply agile, waterfall or hybrid approaches with maturity, adapting as needed while staying disciplined on scope, risk, budget and outcomes.
A natural and clear communicator you’re capable to engage directly and with intent. You can run a room, challenge constructively, and bring people with you, from squad members through to executives. You’re comfortable making trade-offs visible, surfacing issues early, and escalating with options rather than noise.
At ease with AI in delivery and confident using it to augment, not replace, good judgement. You know when an AI-generated delivery picture doesn’t feel right, and you act on it. You value collaboration, inclusion and accountability, and you are motivated by delivering work that makes a genuine difference for customers, communities and the organisation.
Your qualifications in business / IT or similar will be supported by professional certifications and experience in delivering working within an Agile environment.
