Senior Systems Engineer / Systems ArchitectLocation: Based in Adelaide (Onsite)Employment Type: Permanent, Full TimeWe are seeking a skilled Senior Systems Engineer / Systems Architect to join our Defence client in Adelaide.
This role requires an individual with a very strong understanding of the full systems engineering lifecycle, from initial concept to final architecture design.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and research skills, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and analysis of operational concepts for new systems.Drive the derivation of detailed system requirements and their functional and physical architectures.Conduct performance analysis and budgeting to ensure system integrity.Contribute to project planning and execution from a systems engineering perspective.Essential & Desirable Skills:Core Systems Engineering Expertise:Strong understanding of the systems engineering process, including requirements derivation and the development of functional and physical architectures.Good analytical reasoning and computational skills, supported by strong research capabilities.Experience in project planning.Specialized Communications & Middleware Skills (Highly Desirable):Expertise in system architecture for digital communications, including switching and routing.A strong understanding of middleware for the interoperability of disparate systems.Direct experience with Data Distribution Services (DDS) is critical, as you will be working on a project to integrate various communication channels.Critical Technology Experience:Proven understanding of SATCOM and Tactical Data Links (Link 16 / Link 22).
Hands-on experience architecting solutions from the ground station side of a SATCOM system.Candidate RequirementsSecurity Clearance: Must be an Australian Citizen and hold a mandatory NV1 security clearance.Experience: The role requires a candidate who is highly knowledgeable and "switched on" in this area, given the critical technologies and architectural responsibilities involved.Qualifications: Must to hold a relevant Degree to be qualified Applicants Must be an Australian Citizen and hold minimum NV1 security clearance will be considered for this position.APPLY NOW by submitting your CV.
