General Manager Job Description
We are seeking a skilled General Manager to oversee our clinical supports, branding, and training teams. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director.
This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and operational execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex programs, leading diverse teams, and driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
The General Manager will be responsible for supervising managers in the Capability, Branding, and Training teams, as well as overseeing the support and monitoring of our initiatives.
About Us
We are an established not-for-profit provider of individualized and flexible supports for people with disabilities and their families. We support 400 individuals to live independently in their own homes or with their families.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively lead, mentor, and develop diverse and high-performing teams operating across multiple functional areas.
* Establish and implement strategies to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Supervise and manage multiple teams, including Capability, Branding, and Training.
* Oversee the support and monitoring of our initiatives.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A proven track record in management, particularly during growth and maturation phases of an organization.
* Demonstrated experience in driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality and organizational sustainability.
* Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, supported by high-level written and digital literacy skills.
* Demonstrated ability to lead communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.
* Tertiary qualifications in business, management, or a related discipline, with an emphasis on their application in community services or the disability sector.
