About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Knitwear Quality Technician & Product Developer to join our Quality and Design team. This role is responsible for delivering best-practice quality assurance across all knitwear categories while supporting the Knitwear Design team with sourcing, development, and production execution.
You will play a critical role in ensuring all garments meet agreed quality standards across fit, knit construction, detailing, performance, and workmanship, while working closely with internal teams and offshore suppliers to meet critical path deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
* Manage the fit process in line with business requirements, using both live models and mannequins
* Maintain accurate style status updates within the company PLM system
* Ensure all communication between Sydney and offshore vendors is clear, consistent, accurate, and timely
* Partner with Buying and suppliers to achieve critical path deadlines
* Log, track, and escalate quality issues as required
* Review test reports, ensure compliance with company standards, and assign appropriate care instructions
* Collaborate with Design and Quality leadership to improve garment quality while controlling costs
Design & Product Development
* Work closely with the Head of Knitwear to source and develop yarns, trims, and knit downs
* Create and manage design trackers and FIS documentation
* Assist with sketching, CADs, and range board creation and maintenance
* Set up and manage artworks through to final execution
* Communicate daily with vendors to ensure sample accuracy and on-time delivery
* Liaise directly with factories on knit down and sample development requests
* Manage sample approvals and maintain organised filing systems
Social Responsibility
* Stay informed on new technologies and production methods and their environmental impact
Store Engagement & Product Feedback
* Attend regular store visits to review product performance and gather firsthand feedback
* Establish effective methods for collecting customer and staff feedback to support continuous improvement
Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with Brand, Buying, Design, Technical teams, and vendors
* Align processes and procedures across teams to ensure consistency and efficiency
Knowledge & Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Fashion or Design
* Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing, production processes, and construction
Experience
* 2–5 years' industry experience, specialising in fully fashioned knitwear
* Working knowledge of woven and jersey garments, particularly fit and construction
* Experience working with offshore suppliers and supply chains
* Proven ability to deliver against KPIs
* Fully fashioned knitwear expertise highly regarded
