Site Support Technician – FIFO
* 6-12 months initial contract with a mining client
* FIFO and mining experience is a must
* Skills: Expertise in resolving hardware/software issues and familiarity with tools like AD, Office 365, and Knox.
The Site Support Technician (FIFO) is responsible for delivering comprehensive on-site IT support services to customers at specified FIFO locations. This role ensures all incidents and requests are resolved in a safe, timely, and efficient manner in accordance with predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support for end-user devices, including laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile phones, both on-site and remotely.
* Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of computer devices and related hardware/software components.
* Resolve incidents and requests promptly, minimizing user impact and ensuring compliance with predefined SLAs.
* Collaborate with the Service Desk, infrastructure teams, and application teams to deliver seamless customer support and maintain service continuity.
* Deploy and support tablets and other IT devices at remote sites while engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Technical Skills:
* Strong skills in troubleshooting desktop issues and providing IT support for hardware and software.
* Knowledge of Active Directory, Symantec security software, Microsoft Office 365, Samsung Knox, and Two-Factor Authentication.
* Experience in supporting IT infrastructure, especially in remote or challenging environments.
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical people.
* Commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, with relevant education and certifications in IT support.
