An established and well-regarded construction firm is seeking an experienced Design Manager with strong Aged Care or Retirement Living project experience to oversee the coordination and delivery of complex residential and community developments. This role will sit at the centre of the design and delivery process, ensuring architectural intent, consultant documentation and construction outcomes are aligned from early design stages through to project delivery.
This role would suit a Senior Architect, Project Architect, or Design Manager with experience delivering aged care, healthcare, retirement living, or complex residential projects, particularly those interested in taking a more strategic role managing design coordination and project outcomes.

Role Overview
The Design Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating the design process across multiple projects, working closely with architects, consultants, and internal construction teams.
You will ensure design documentation is coordinated, buildable, and aligned with programme and cost objectives while maintaining the original design intent. The role requires someone who is comfortable operating between design teams and construction delivery, managing consultants and resolving design challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Requirements
Experience & Background
* Demonstrated experience in Design Management, Architecture, Development or Construction
* Strong exposure to Aged Care or Retirement Living developments
* Experience working across design development through to construction documentation and delivery
Technical Capability
* Strong understanding of construction methodology and buildability
* Knowledge of planning processes, NCC compliance and consultant coordination
* Familiarity with documentation platforms such as Revit, ArchiCAD or AutoCAD
Personal Attributes
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple consultants and competing project priorities
* Detail-oriented with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
