About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services. It offers policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria, and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department supports early childhood and school education systems through guidance, oversight, and assurance, and directly manages 50 new early learning centres.
About the Victorian School Building Authority
The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA), part of the Department of Education, was established in 2016. It oversees Victoria's largest school building program since the 1870s, including upgrading existing schools, designing and constructing new ones, and supporting school maintenance and grants. The VSBA also manages a significant kindergarten construction program following recent funding increases.
About the Division
The Asset Management Division assists schools in maintaining their buildings and grounds, ensuring energy efficiency. It trains school leaders as facilities managers and supports development of maintenance plans. The division includes several branches focused on asset management, facilities, maintenance, and programs.
About the Role
The Kinder Facilities Management Unit oversees a growing portfolio of early childhood assets through a hybrid service delivery model. The Program Advisor supports service delivery and administration, working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to ensure tasks are planned, monitored, and completed efficiently while maintaining high customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing administrative and project coordination support to ensure clear communication and stakeholder understanding.
2. Supporting program administration, asset management tasks, and achieving performance and financial targets.
3. Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Managing information and processes across teams to facilitate contact and communication.
5. Maintaining accurate records and tracking to support planning and reporting.
6. Assisting in the development of business processes, communication materials, and documentation.
7. Producing reports and written communications for decision-making.
8. Performing other duties as required to meet organizational goals.

The ideal candidate will possess strong stakeholder management skills, flexibility, adaptability, and well-developed communication and writing skills.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* A tertiary qualification relevant to the role.
* Significant or demonstrated experience in a similar role within government.
