We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events from initial planning to post-event follow-up.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations. You will also be proficient in negotiating with suppliers, vendors, and clients to establish favourable terms that benefit all parties involved.
Apart from these key responsibilities, you will also assist in event operations when required. The role involves enquiry handling, proactive and reactive sales, and collaborating with clients, suppliers, colleagues, and management to create successful corporate events and experiences.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate closely with clients throughout the entire event process, from initial planning, site inspections, event coordination, to post-event follow-up
* Coordinate logistics, including equipment, contractors, resources, and personnel involved in and supporting the event
* Proactively address and resolve any issues that may arise during the event
* Maximise revenue through pro-active sales techniques
* Assist in event operations, when required
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Past experience in a similar role, demonstrated precision in coordination and providing exceptional customer service while exceeding expectations
* Proficient in negotiating with suppliers, vendors, and clients to establish favourable terms that benefit all parties involved
* You foster a can – do approach with impeccable attention to detail and exceptional time management skills
* Previous operational experience in a dynamic food and beverage operation and proficiency in iVvy is highly regarded
* Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
