**Client**
My client is a large mining house that owns and operates a number of open cut and underground mining operations in Australia. They are looking for a Mine Planning Superintendent to manage, mentor and lead a team of Mining Engineers at one of their operations in the Lower Hunter Region (Newcastle side of the Valley).
**The Opportunity**
This is a Monday to Friday position (with an RDO and flexi-day options each month). Ultimately, this role reports into the Technical Services Manager (who is on site as well).
**Responsibilities**
- Manage, lead and enable your team of Mining Engineers,
- Delivering 0 - 3 month and 3+ month to LOM plans and schedules,
- Supporting continuous improvement and development initiatives of your team of Mining Engineers,
- Working collaboratively within the Tech Services team and other departments on site (D&B, Production, Operations, etc).
**Requirements**:
- Mining Engineering Degree or relevant tertiary qualifications (Geo, Geotech, Surveyor background is fine),
- 3+ years as a leading Senior or Superintendent in a Technical Services department in open cut mining operations,
- Must reside/relocate within the Newcastle/Lower Hunter Valley Region,
- Must have full AU working rights (no sponsorship on offer here).
