We are seeking an experienced Clinical Governance Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of clinical governance frameworks that support safe, high-quality and effective healthcare delivery. This role is ideal for a senior healthcare professional with strong governance expertise, clinical leadership capability and a passion for improving patient outcomes through robust systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement and maintain clinical governance frameworks, policies and systems.
* Provide clinical leadership and governance oversight across service delivery teams.
* Monitor and report on clinical quality, safety, performance and compliance metrics.
* Identify, assess and mitigate clinical risks, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
* Lead the development and promotion of quality management systems (QMS).
* Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure governance frameworks align with service delivery, regulatory and contractual requirements.
* Support clinical governance education, awareness and capability uplift across the workforce.
About You
You are a clinically experienced governance professional with strong analytical capability, leadership presence and the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation. You are comfortable working in complex healthcare environments and driving governance maturity.
Essential:
* Tertiary qualification in health sciences (medicine or nursing), health administration, business or similar.
* Demonstrated experience leading clinical governance in healthcare organisations.
* Strong understanding of quality management systems and healthcare governance standards.
* Strong knowledge of contemporary clinical quality, safety and risk management frameworks.
* Ability to design, integrate and maintain governance systems within service delivery operations.
* Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable:
* Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration.
* Experience working in complex or multi-site healthcare delivery environments.
* Strong understanding of quality management systems and healthcare governance standards.
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced, operationally complex settings.
