ERH services the Shire of Campaspe and the cross-border Murray River Council. Echuca Moama and townships are located directly across the state border from one another, separated by the Murray River.
ERH provides a comprehensive range of acute, medical, surgical and sub-acute services plus residential aged care and a broad range of community healthcare services. Applications are sought from suitably qualified professionals to take the next step in their career, leading the Education, Training and Research department.This leadership role will have a strategic focus on driving the future direction of organisational learning, development and research at Echuca Regional Health.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide direct leadership, support and management to the education and research team to ensure quality outcomes are achieved
Leads department strategic planning and contributes to organisational strategic planning, taking accountability for the achievement of the Organisation Learning and Development outcomes for ERH
Provide regional and sub-regional leadership, seeking opportunities to share, partner and build stronger networks that lead to enhanced outcomes.
Accountable for the oversight of the education budget, including the management and acquitting of grant funds
Direct and support the implementation of the research portfolio across the region and Lead the ERH governance oversight of research including the site readiness for clinical trials
Maintain a commitment to continuous quality improvement to ensure workforce development needs are met through embedding innovative and contemporary practices
Qualifications/experience required:
Minimum Bachelor Qualification in Education, Business or Human Resources or; Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant health related field
Demonstrated ability to think critically and work with autonomy
Established leadership qualities, including well-developed communication skills to seek and build key relationships
