Operational Systems Pty Ltd (OpSys) is a South Australian–owned Managed IT and Cybersecurity services provider supporting customers across a wide range of industries throughout Australia.
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join our Adelaide-based team in a full-time role. This position is suited to a technically capable support professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, customer interaction, and working across both office-based and onsite environments.
About the Role
As a Support Technician, you will provide advanced helpdesk and onsite technical support to OpSys customers. You will take ownership of issues beyond initial triage, perform structured troubleshooting, and work closely with internal engineers to resolve more complex technical problems.
This is a hybrid role, combining office-based support with regular customer site visits for equipment installation, maintenance, and support.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Level 2–style technical support across OpSys' customer base
* Own and resolve escalated support requests beyond first response
* Perform onsite troubleshooting, installations, and equipment maintenance
* Support Windows desktop and user environments
* Assist with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and identity-related issues
* Troubleshoot networking issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, connectivity)
* Work alongside Projects and Engineering teams during implementations
* Maintain clear documentation and detailed support notes
* Provide guidance and escalation support to Support Analysts
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Proven experience in a Level 2 helpdesk or IT support role
* Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and Microsoft 365 environments
* Experience supporting users both remotely and onsite
* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
* Strong communication and customer-facing skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Desirable:
* Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
* Exposure to backup, endpoint protection, or security platforms
* Experience assisting with IT projects or infrastructure changes
* Relevant IT certifications or formal qualifications
