Join Our Culinary Team as a Commis Chef
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef to join our Kitchen Department. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing and serving both general and specialised meals to our guests in accordance with menu guidelines and recipes. We have a high-volume 7 day restaurant that serves buffet breakfast and lunch, then pivots to a la carte service for dinner. We also cater to the iconic bakery, preparing sandwiches and lunches for tour groups and day trippers.
This is a live on island, permanent full time, salary position with affordable living expenses that include 3 meals every day, private accommodation, utilities and Wi‑Fi. So if you are looking for a sea change - then we would love to hear from you
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure guest and staff safety, participate in safety drills, and report hazards.
* Prepare meals with quality and presentation in line with Resort standards.
* Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
* Assist apprentices and perform baking, pastry cooking, and butchering.
* Communicate efficiently with food and beverage staff.
What We're Looking For:
* Great people skills with a customer‑focused attitude.
* Exceptional grooming, presentation, and organisational skills.
* Able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
* Certificate in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety Course essential.
* Previous experience in a multi‑outlet resort/hotel environment.
