Part-Time Accountant / Bookkeeper (20 Hours per Week) – Rockingham

Maxim Business Solutions is a Perth-based professional services firm with over 20 years of experience delivering tailored solutions in accounting, payroll, business consulting, and employment services. We support a diverse client base—from small businesses to larger organisations—helping them meet compliance obligations, manage finances effectively, and make informed strategic decisions.

Our Rockingham office is home to a skilled, collaborative, and supportive team committed to delivering high-quality outcomes with professionalism and care.

We are currently seeking an experienced Part-Time Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team for approximately 20 hours per week. This role offers flexible working hours, making it ideal for someone seeking a better work-life balance or a lifestyle-focused role.

About You

You will be degree-qualified (or working towards CPA – desirable but not essential) and demonstrate:

* Experience with MYOB products
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
* The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a job-sharing environment
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Previous retail experience (desirable but not essential)
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets
* Maintenance of asset registers
* Balance sheet reconciliations, including provisions
* Review and assistance with BAS, GST, and ATO compliance obligations
* Overseeing hospitality booking and reservation systems
* Supporting administration of labour hire and machinery operations
* Managing a variety of client accounting needs on an ongoing basis
* Processing accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions
* Performing bank reconciliations and period-end reporting
* General administrative duties as required
