Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team. As a Senior Specialist Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing a physiotherapy service at senior level, assessing and implementing programmes of person-centred care as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assessing service user needs in relation to optimising independence and physical function
* Undertaking comprehensive assessments of service users, using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans
* Promoting choice in all aspects of clinical practice and enhancing the service user experience
* Liaising with other health and social care professionals to plan and deliver occupational therapy
* Ensuring up-to-date written and electronic records are maintained, and sensitive information is held securely
* Demonstrating clinical leadership and promoting clinical supervision
* Sharing knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* A Diploma/BSc in Physiotherapy
* Current and valid Registration with Health & Care Professions Council
* Current registration with professional body (e.g. CSP)
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Evidence of clinical skills in neurology/stroke/head injuries
* Supervision/training experience for Band 5/6's therapists/support staff
* Demonstrable experience of using evidence-based practice and outcome measures
* Skilled knowledge and application of physiotherapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning
* Evidence of clinical skills in Respiratory Physiotherapy
* Member of specialist interest group (ACPIN or ACPOPC) or willing to join
