Job Summary:
The Machine Operator plays a vital role in our production process. As an operator, you will be responsible for loading new coils onto the de-coiler when required. You must ensure that the finished product is loaded onto trolleys in a methodical order and that the machine setup is adjusted to reduce thickness and eliminate product defects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Loading new coils on the de-coiler when necessary.
* Loading finished products onto trolleys in a systematic manner.
* Resetting, adjusting, and correcting machine setup to minimize thickness and prevent product defects.
* Ensuring high-quality products are produced within specifications.
* Maintaining the cleanliness of the roll form machine and surrounding area.
* Completing daily product inspections.
* Reporting any abnormal machine operation or maintenance requirements.
* Performing routine equipment maintenance and assisting with maintenance tasks as needed.
* Providing regular maintenance reports to avoid equipment breakdowns.
* Completing daily production records.
* Monitoring machine cycles and operations to ensure fabricated products meet specifications.
About You:
* You have an excellent work ethic, are honest, reliable, and punctual.
* You possess strong attention to detail, producing high-quality work.
* You are physically fit to handle manual tasks.
* Demonstrated experience in roll forming is desirable.
* Familiarity with the steel framing industry is desirable.
* You have good mechanical aptitude.
* You can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
* You can work independently and contribute as a team member.
* You hold a current driver's license and have reliable transportation.
* You are available to work Monday – Friday and occasional Saturdays for 38 hours per week.
