Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Direct Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, providing personal care support and assisting with daily living tasks.
* Providing personal care support, including showering, toileting, dressing and more
* Administering medications
* Transferring individuals using hoists and/or slide sheets, and general assistance with mobility
* Domestic duties including cleaning, laundry or meal preparation
* Community engagement, such as attending GP appointments, grocery shopping or social or recreational activities of their choice
* Before or after school support including homework, tea preparation, games
This role requires flexibility and a willingness to work on a roster system. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively, work autonomously and as part of a team, and provide person-centered care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A current First Aid and CPR certificate
* A Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
* An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities)
* A valid Australian Drivers Licence
* Commitment to infection prevention and control measures
