Pipeline Operator and Maintainer Role
This role is crucial in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our gas pipeline network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with supervisors to provide timely and accurate reporting inputs.
* Maintain pipeline integrity through regular inspections, maintenance, and repair work, including pigging operations, cathodic protection monitoring, and general mechanical and electrical repairs.
* Identify and resolve technical issues with plant and field equipment, performing diagnostics and minor repairs as needed.
* Evaluate and perform valve and pipeline infrastructure maintenance tasks, such as greasing, leak testing, and corrosion control.
* Ensure accurate record-keeping for landowner and third-party permits.
* Conduct regular ground and aerial patrols to monitor and maintain the pipeline Right of Way (ROW), including depth checks, vegetation control, erosion repair, and signage upkeep.
* Supervise external activities near the pipeline to guarantee compliance and safety standards are met.
* Participate in safety audits, civil maintenance, and planning of major projects.
* Operate and monitor field systems, including SCADA, GIS, and electronic interface systems.
* Respond promptly to operational issues and alarms via the SCADA system, emergency situations, and participate in on-call duties as required.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and field reports.
* Foster strong relationships with landowners, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
* Adhere to all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
