What We're Looking For:
As our Chef, you will:
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu, ensuring quality, flavor, and presentation standards are met.
* Plan and execute daily food preparation schedules to maintain efficiency and consistency.
* Monitor food stock, ensure proper storage, and manage inventory to minimize waste and maintain cost controls.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and health regulations.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials that reflect our commitment to fresh, innovative cuisine.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Skills and Experience Required:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* A Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent qualification.
* At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and health and safety standards.
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* A team-oriented mindset with great communication skills.
Additional Requirements:
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
