The City of Gold Coast operates four aquatic centres, offering something for everyone: learn‐to‐swim programmes, swimming school programmes and carnivals, squad swimming, diving programmes, pools, fitness centres, and active and healthy aqua classes.
About Your New Role
As a fitness instructor with the City, you will foster a positive culture among members and staff, promoting a range of fitness and recreation activities. The role involves conducting fitness assessments, creating fitness programmes with health screenings, and leading effective group fitness classes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service, engage with members to enhance their experience, and ensure the fitness centre remains a safe and welcoming environment, with proper equipment usage and safety standards maintained.

You're a motivated fitness professional with a passion for helping people achieve their goals. Confident in delivering fitness assessments, programmes, and group classes, you bring energy, safety awareness, and exceptional customer service to every interaction. Your proactive and adaptable approach enables you to create a welcoming environment for members while ensuring the smooth day‐to‐day operation of the centre. This includes supporting administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate client records, managing bookings, and assisting with general operational processes.
