Who are we looking for?
We are looking for warm and friendly volunteers to provide key social connections and conversations over the phone to older South Australians.
Responsibilities
* Connecting with customers: connect over the phone to pre‐identified customers, providing friendly conversation and social connection to alleviate feelings of loneliness and social isolation.
* Documenting impact: record brief details in our customer database to ensure accurate and up‐to‐date information.
Qualifications
* Ability to engage effectively within a team environment in accordance with AnglicareSA's values.
* Empathy, compassion, and a non‐judgmental, respectful approach.
* Excellent phone skills and the ability to speak clearly with people who might have trouble hearing on the phone.
* Ability to relate well with people from a variety of different cultural and socio‐economic backgrounds.
* Report to the supervisor any areas of concern regarding the customers you are volunteering with.
