They are currently seeking a motivated individual to join their team as an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration apprentice.
**About the role**
You will begin a full time 4-year journey to becoming a fully qualified Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration technician (Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning)
Day to day duties include (but not inclusive of:
- Working on the offshore patrol vessel construction project for the Australian Navy located at the Henderson shipyard.
- Installation & commissioning of air conditioning, refrigeration and Fire suppression equipment and associated piping and ductwork.
- Undertake on the job and Tafe training to achieve trade qualification.
- Assist tradesmen with day-to-day tasks.
- Other duties as required.

To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have a genuine interest in the Defence ship building industry with a strong willingness to learn.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Use hand and electric tools and instruments to complete job tasks.
- Possess an enthusiastic attitude towards your work.
- Demonstrate appropriate safety behaviour while working on a busy heavy construction site.
- Be able to work in a team environment.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
**Requirements**:
- Undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol screening.
- Pre apprenticeship training in a relevant field preferred.
- Driver's licence.
