* Lecturer (Academic Level B) – Total Remuneration: $134,885 to $157,870 pa (salary $113,980 to $133,403 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)*
* Senior Lecturer (Academic Level C) – Total Remuneration: $162,470 to $184,987 pa (salary $137,290 to $156,317 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)*

Working at CQUniversity
The School of Engineering and Technology is seeking two academics to support the growth and development of our Civil Engineering courses. These roles play a key part in delivering and developing curriculum across undergraduate and postgraduate courses, drawing on a broad knowledge of civil engineering and a commitment to applied, industry‐aligned education.
Lecturer
You will deliver high‐quality, practice‐informed teaching, contribute to curriculum and assessment design and supervise honours and postgraduate students. You will engage in research or scholarly activity and support the University's engagement agenda through collaboration with industry, professional bodies and the wider community. Industry or academic experience in traffic and transport engineering is desirable.
Senior Lecturer
You will provide leadership in teaching and curriculum development, supervise honours and postgraduate students, mentor junior academic staff and drive research initiatives aligned with the School's strengths. You will play a key role in fostering collaboration with industry, professional bodies, and community partners, while contributing to a positive team and research culture. Industry or academic experience in geotechnical engineering is desirable.

Position Requirements – Lecturer
* Postgraduate qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching or Education.
* Evidence of scholarly activity or emerging research capability, including peer‐reviewed publications.
* Ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students using multi‐modal delivery.
* Capability in curriculum development and assessment design, including multi‐modal delivery.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Capacity to engage with industry and community partners.
Position Requirements – Senior Lecturer
* PhD in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with relevant industry experience.
* Strong record of quality teaching, including unit coordination and curriculum leadership.
* Demonstrated research leadership aligned to the School's research strengths, including supervision of honours and postgraduate students.
* Evidence of securing or contributing to externally funded and/or multidisciplinary research.
* Proven engagement with industry and community organisations.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute positively to team and research culture.
