Job Opportunity: WHS Expert
We are seeking an experienced Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) professional to drive our safety strategy and programs.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing WHS systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation. You will also provide expert advice and coaching to managers and staff, delivering high-level performance reports and leading WHS Committee activities.
* Main Responsibilities:
o Design and implement WHS Management Systems, developing and maintaining policies, procedures, SWMS, and SOPs.
o Provide expert WHS advice and coaching to managers and staff, delivering high-level WHS performance reports, and leading WHS Committee activities.
o Ensure compliance with WHS obligations by conducting audits, leading incident investigations, and liaising with regulatory bodies.
o Identify WHS training needs, develop and deliver workshops, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Key Skills and Qualifications:
o A tertiary qualification in WHS, Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
o 5+ years' experience in a WHS advisory role, with strong knowledge of WHS legislation, and experience in developing WHS systems.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
o Strong problem-solving skills, coupled with experience in WHS reporting and data analysis.
o Project management experience in WHS initiatives.
