Forensic Disability Officer Opportunity
A unique chance to make a meaningful difference in our multidisciplinary team of Allied Health professionals working with individuals at the intersection of health and justice.
About the Role
* Provide specialist assessment and intervention for individuals in custodial settings and courts, including in-reach services.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to care planning and continuity of service.
* Offer consultation and advice to those within the team and service providers across sectors.
* Support the team by providing information on access pathways and the NDIS.
* Contribute to education, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Experience in assessment, care coordination, and intervention for individuals with intellectual/learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries, and comorbidities, preferably in forensic or mental health contexts.
* Skilled in working across multiple service systems (health, justice, and community).
* An excellent communicator with adaptability for different audiences, backed by strong report-writing and documentation skills.
* Committed to trauma-informed, person-centred, and culturally responsive practice.
* Tertiary qualified in an Allied Health discipline (experience in disability service, forensic setting, or mental health will be highly regarded).
