Service Technician role involves performing complex mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting on locomotives and rolling stock.
About the Role
* You will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues to ensure safety and efficiency.
* Verify the integrity of the rolling stock and perform emergency response duties when needed.
* Conduct inbound and outbound testing procedures, requisition materials and components for maintenance activities, and report future maintenance work and potential improvements.
About You
* Mechanical Trade qualification with hands-on experience in a related field is essential. Proven ability to resolve complex mechanical, warranty, and maintenance issues.
* Previous experience working with diesel engines, particularly in a rail or heavy machinery environment, is required.
* Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) lists, capable of working independently, managing time effectively, and prioritizing multiple tasks.
* Proficient in using MS Word, Excel, and email.
