About the role: We are looking to employ an individual with experience in dairy, with knowledge and a passion for farming. This role would work alongside other full time and casual employees and owners. Skills in the following areas are a benefit – tractor and implement operating, rotational grazing, irrigation. Future potential to move into management.
Key responsibilities
Key responsibilities: include but not limited to
* Dairy operations, milking cows, animal health, feeding, strip grazing, calving, calf rearing, and heifer growing.
* With experience other roles could include sowing, foliar fertiliser application, irrigation, fence maintenance, vehicle maintenance and repairs, welding, excavator work.
Skills, experience and values
* Be punctual, honest, trustworthy, take responsibility and be safe.
* Be able to work efficiently and effectively independently as well as part of a team.
* Have previous experience in dairy farming.
* Enjoy working with animals.
* An interest and drive to learn.
About the company
Stewart Agri Pty Ltd is a family run business milking 500 cross bred cows through a 28 swing over herringbone dairy with cup removers. We farm approximately 360ha, rearing our own replacement heifers. We have a focus on soil biology and are using regenerative farming practices to improve the health and productivity of our soil, plants and animals. We aim to develop the business and adopt new technology when possible.
