Job Description
Reporting to the Team Leader, this hands-on position is critical in ensuring the efficient operation of production plant and equipment within the Logyard and safe operation of our Water Truck/Sweeper. Responsible for meeting output, quality, and safety standards for optimum productivity and recovery.
Day shift 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday. Commencing hourly rate ~$32/hour with enterprise agreement being negotiated later this year.
Responsibilities
* Operational Excellence
o Operate machinery and equipment efficiently to support production flow.
o Perform pre-start and shutdown procedures as required.
o Adjust equipment settings to maintain optimal performance and output.
* Quality Control
o Ensure products meet quality specifications by conducting inspections and reporting issues promptly.
o Follow established procedures to identify and resolve product or equipment inconsistencies.
* Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
o Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and standards, including SLAM & Lockout and equipment isolation procedures.
o Participate in hazard identification, safety reporting, and continuous improvement of safety practices.
o Use appropriate PPE and follow environmental compliance requirements.
* Housekeeping and Maintenance
o Maintain a clean and organized workspace, completing shift cleaning as required.
o Report improvements via EWR process and record downtime as per site standards.
o Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to address safety, production, or quality concerns.
o Participate and engage in team meetings, changeovers, and problem‐solving activities.
o Assist with cross‐training and skill development of other operators and across the site as required.
* Individual Development and Growth
o Engage in cross‐training to build skills across different work centers.
o Collaborate with supervisors to set personal development goals and track progress.
o Take responsibility for personal learning by participating in relevant training programs.
o Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by sharing ideas and participating in team initiatives.

Role Requirements
* MR Truck Licence is required for this role.
* Participate in job rotation where and when required throughout the site.
* Must be prepared to undertake further training to improve skills base.
* Ability to work autonomously, and as an integral part of a team.
* Work permanent day shift with limited supervision.
