Job Title:
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, assembling, installing, commissioning, inspecting heat exchangers and cooling towers.
Main Responsibilities:
* Service, repair, assemble, install, commission, inspect heat exchangers and cooling towers either at our centre or on site;
* Assist in planning & preparation of jobs, using drawings, plans and designs;
* Check quality of work performed;
* Requisition materials from inventory, replenish consumables in accordance with scope of work;
* Provide training to temporary staff for service as applicable;
* Discuss equipment & maintenance with clients, collect and analyse data as required;
* Check and Record goods inward & despatch with stock control;
* Testing of equipment to meet specifications where required;
* Clear and accurate communication with customers;
* Adhere to all occupational health and safety requirements. This may include drug and alcohol tests on some sites;
* Keep workshop and work sites in a safe, clean and tidy state at all times;
* Keep up to date with new industry standards;
* Carry out all instructions to the very best of your ability;
* All paper work to be completed accurately and in a timely manner, before and after each job;
* Time sheets to be completed daily & accurately and handed to Supervisor;
* Be committed to the continuous improvement of all systems associated with the service function;
* Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required;
* Attend to site or overnight stays away for work will be required to fulfil the requirements of the role.
Qualifications:
* Relevant Diploma or Trade certificate.
* Competent English (Current IELTS; Pearsons PTE, ToEFL or Cambrighe Certificate obtained within the last 2 years)
Requirements:
* Minimum two years current work experience in a mechanical trade or extensive experience in the assembly and servicing of heat exchangers or cooling towers.
* Preferably have a working knowledge of heat exchangers or cooling towers.
* Site service and customer relations experience preferred
