Your Role as a Systems Accountant
You will serve as a vital link between the
Finance Team
and
technical stakeholders
, ensuring financial systems are not only robust but also aligned with business goals. From optimising processes and maintaining data integrity to driving reporting enhancements and systems improvements, this is a role that offers variety, challenge, and opportunities to innovate.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Systems Governance:
* Ensure the integrity of finance ERP modules and embed financial controls into workflows seamlessly.
* Test and validate system updates affecting finance in partnership with ERP Support.
Process Optimisation & Automation:
* Identify and implement changes to streamline finance processes using advanced system capabilities.
* Collaborate with technical experts to automate recurring reports and reconciliations.
* Maintain detailed finance systems documentation, processes, and user guides.
Reporting & Insights:
* Develop system-based reporting solutions tailored to finance requirements.
* Drive budgeting and forecasting with optimised system enhancements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Represent finance in system and digital transformation projects.
* Partner with ERP teams to troubleshoot and solve finance-related systems issues.
* Lead initiatives in data governance and master data management.
Training & Support:
* Equip finance users with system knowledge and best practices.
* Be the first point of contact for finance system queries and support.Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance
, or a related field.
* Professional certification such as
CPA
(preferred).
* Minimum
3 years' experience
in finance roles with exposure to ERP systems such as JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP, or Dynamics.
* Demonstrated understanding of financial processes and compliance controls.
* Familiarity with reporting tools such as
Power BI
,
Excel
, and
basic SQL skills
