Join our dedicated Clinical Care team at Manning Support Services (MSS), where you'll provide clinical support to our aged care clients in their own homes as part of a person-centred, wellness and reablement-focused approach.
Due to continuing growth, MSS has an opportunity for a part-time Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Care team based in Taree and surrounds. The position is permanent part-time offering a minimum of 16 hours per week.
About the Role
You will play a critical role in assessing and supporting aged care clients with clinical needs such as wound care, medication management, chronic disease support, and more. You will work collaboratively with clients, families, GPs, and care teams to ensure safe, responsive, and goal-directed care. You will also contribute to our continuous improvement culture and uphold the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
Tasks and responsibilities:
* Conduct health assessments and wound care, and provide chronic disease monitoring and management
* Refer clients to appropriate services when required
* Lead by example in delivering high-quality nursing care and mentoring Enrolled Nurses
* Provide clinical leadership and promote primary health care principles
* Collaborate effectively with external stakeholders, service providers, and referrers
* Deliver and coordinate holistic, multidisciplinary care in partnership with Allied Health and Medical professionals
Essential Selection Criteria:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with minimum 3 years' experience
* Tertiary nursing qualifications and valid CPR certificate
* Experience in acute care, home care, aged care, or community health settings
* Strong knowledge of person-centred, goal-directed care, reablement, and restorative care
* Skilled in clinical assessments, wound care, medication management, and chronic disease monitoring
* Familiar with Aged Care Quality Standards, Support at Home Program, Aged Care Rights Charter, and clinical governance
* Clear understanding of scope of practice, delegation, and supervision of ENs and care workers
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, carers, and teams
* Professional, empathetic approach in sensitive situations
* Strong documentation and digital literacy, including use of mobile tech and client systems
* Able to work autonomously, manage caseloads, and adapt to changing priorities
* Sound clinical risk management, infection control, manual handling, and incident response knowledge
* Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional development
* Full, unrestricted driver's licence and access to a vehicle with current NSW registration and third-party insurance
* Physically fit and willing to complete a pre-employment fitness assessment (arranged and paid for by MSS)
Desirable:
* Experience supervising or educating support staff
* Ability to provide clinical guidance and training to care workers or ENs, particularly around safe manual handling, use of mobility equipment, etc.
* Wound care, dementia care, palliative care, or chronic disease management qualifications/certificates

Salary packaging up to $15,899 per year, as well as a meal and entertainment card up to $2,650 each year
