Job Description
The role includes but is not limited to tasks such as:
* Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
* Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations.
* Provide financial insights and analysis to support business objectives.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
The Successful Applicant
Qualifications
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* CPA or CA qualification, or progress towards obtaining one.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
* Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Familiarity with the Energy & Natural Resources industry is highly regarded.
