**OUR CLIENT**
Our client, a leading native title service provider, is currently seeking a ParaLegal to join their dynamic team in Brisbane.
**ROLE**
As part of our client's operations team, you'll assist in delivering a comprehensive legal service to support traditional owners in their pursuit of native title rights under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) and aid Prescribed Bodies Corporate post-determination. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams and under the guidance of a legal practitioner, responsibilities include conducting research, preparing legal documents, performing transcription duties, managing court filings, drafting correspondence, and assisting with meeting preparations. You'll collaborate with the client management team to mitigate risks, support project management activities, and promote the organization's service delivery strategy. Additionally, you'll manage records and correspondence in accordance with organizational standards, ensuring data currency and promoting knowledge sharing within our client's databases.
**ABOUT YOU**
- You have excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
- Your oral and written communication skills are strong, accompanied by an excellent telephone manner.
- Proficiency in using a Windows platform and the Microsoft Office suite is second nature to you.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment, possessing the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrating initiative and self-motivation, you consistently meet competing deadlines.
- Your organizational and administrative skills are exceptional, allowing you to manage tasks efficiently.
- You are willing and able to travel regularly throughout Queensland, holding a current open driver's license.
- Desirably, you have demonstrated knowledge of cultural, political, economic, environmental, and social issues affecting First Nations people, along with previous experience in a paralegal role.
**REMUNERATION**
Circa. $65-75k AUD (dependent on experience) + super + tax savings (sal sac) + other benefits
Please note that this role is based in Brisbane, Queensland, with travel to other locations within the Southern and Western Queensland Region.
