Job Overview
This is a senior role within the Waste Services department, responsible for providing high-level professional and technical advice to senior executives and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have experience in end-to-end waste planning, compliance, and delivery of waste management services, as well as leading multidisciplinary teams through change in a complex environment.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Driving targets to reduce domestic solid waste disposed to landfill in line with the Waste Reduction and Recycling Plan.
* Delivering the Waste Education and Community Engagement Plan and related programs.
* Coordinating and ensuring compliance with Corporate policies and procedures and regulatory requirements for Waste Services.
* Managing multidisciplinary teams and providing technical advice and guidance.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant tertiary qualifications and significant experience in contemporary waste management, as well as demonstrated expertise in waste governance and risk management practices.
They will also be able to contribute to fostering a healthy, inclusive, and well-connected workplace, lead self and others through change in a large complex organisation, and apply knowledge of sound financial practices within a legislative environment.
The successful applicant will be required to hold a current C class driver's licence and a Construction Induction Card (or be willing to obtain one at their own cost).
