About the role
This full-time role provides an opportunity for a motivated and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant, equipment, and site infrastructure. The role focuses on preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime and optimise performance across operations.
This position operates within a structured, system-driven maintenance environment using MaintainX (CMMS) and LEAN 6S principles to ensure work is planned, executed, and recorded to a high standard.
What you'll do
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant machinery, equipment, utilities, and site facilities to ensure reliable operation.
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs in a timely manner to minimise downtime and disruption to operations.
* Execute maintenance tasks through MaintainX work orders, ensuring all work is recorded accurately and in real time.
* Support the planning and execution of preventative maintenance activities in line with site schedules.
* Carry out servicing and repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications, Australian Standards, and company procedures.
* Maintain accurate digital records of maintenance activities, servicing, and repairs within the CMMS.
* Identify and report faults, risks, and unsafe equipment or infrastructure, and take corrective action where appropriate.
* Support maintenance-related projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
* Apply and maintain LEAN 6S standards across workshop and work areas, ensuring a safe, clean, and organised environment.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure they are stored securely.
* Work collaboratively with managers, contractors, and operational teams to coordinate maintenance activities and support production requirements.
* Promote the safe and correct use of plant, equipment, and vehicles across the site.
What we're looking for
* Relevant trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Fitter & Turner or similar), with experience in maintenance roles across industrial, agricultural, or processing environments.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability, with a proactive, hands‐on approach to maintenance and reliability.
* Experience with preventative maintenance systems and CMMS platforms (e.g. MaintainX) for work order management and tracking.
* Ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings and procedures, with sound organisational skills to manage priorities and tasks effectively.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. LEAN / 6S) and a current driver's licence.
