Little Zak's Academy is privately owned and family run. Our aim is to provide early childhood care and education in a safe, welcoming, adopting and nurturing environment. Our staff are dedicated professionals who value the importance of maintaining an optimum level of care and education for all children. About the role
Receptionist (70-80%): General reception duties including answering phones, directing queries, printing, collating and distributing weekly materials; maintaining a bubbly, welcoming personality and a can-do attitude; assisting with day-to-day operations; managing office supplies; filing and scanning; keeping a clean and tidy office space/environment.
Lunch Cover (20-30%): Covering a couple of lunch breaks while other Educators are on breaks; ad-hoc time on the floor to support ratio as required.
About you
Certificate III/Diploma/Teaching Degree in Early Childhood Education & Care (or ACECQA approved) – desirable
Robust administrative and organisational skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, both over the phone and face to face
High level computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office suite
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Excellent time management and scheduling skills
Demonstrated active listening, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work calmly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of the National Quality Framework including: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Benefits and requirements
We are part of the Australian Government's Worker Retention Payment program. Eligible team members receive an extra 10% on top of award rates from December 2024, with an additional 5% starting December 2025. This funding is supported until November 2026.
