An established mid-tier civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support a growing portfolio of ongoing and newly awarded projects across the Brisbane region.
This is an independent, site-based role working across multiple civil projects, providing hands-on safety leadership and ensuring best-practice WHS compliance in a dynamic construction environment.
About the Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for driving safety performance across several active sites. You will work closely with project teams, supervisors, and subcontractors to embed a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with legislative and ISO requirements.
This is a Monday to Friday position with no FIFO or weekend roster.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide onsite WHS support across multiple civil construction projects
* Implement, maintain, and continuously improve WHS systems and procedures
* Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks
* Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and ISO standards
* Support project teams with safety planning, SWMS reviews, and inductions
* Promote a proactive and practical safety culture on site
About You
* Proven experience as a Health & Safety role within civil construction
* Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and civil construction risks
* Experience working across multiple projects simultaneously
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence site teams
* Cert IV in WHS (minimum); Diploma or higher highly regarded
* ISO systems experience
