The Transport Planner is responsible for coordinating and planning transport movements under the DWDSS contract to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of goods in line with Commonwealth requirements.
This role works closely with warehouse, customer service, and operational teams to consolidate consignments, manage transport bookings, and optimise route and carrier utilisation.
The Transport Planner supports the achievement of service performance and contractual targets by maintaining visibility over order flow, identifying risks or delays, and working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery plans are met.
The Transport Planner plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day administrative and customer service operations under the DWDSS contract.
This role is responsible for accurate data entry, document control, reporting support, and frontline customer service activities that contribute to productive warehouse and distribution operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan transport movements under the DWDSS contract to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Work with warehouse, customer service, and operational teams to consolidate consignments, manage transport bookings, and optimise route and carrier utilisation.
- Maintain visibility over order flow, identify risks or delays, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery plans are met.
- Contribute to day-to-day administrative and customer service operations, including accurate data entry, document control, and reporting support.
- Provide frontline customer service support to contribute to efficient warehouse and distribution operations.
Requirements
- You must be entitled to work in Australia and be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including a criminal history check and medical.

- Willingness to learn and adapt; experience in logistics, transport planning, or related administrative roles is an asset but not required.
