Lead Educator Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and committed lead educator to oversee the continued growth and development of a new campus within our multi-campus network.
This role is responsible for leading all aspects of teaching and learning, student wellbeing, and day-to-day operations of the campus, while working collaboratively within the broader community across the state.
As a Special Assistance School, the campus will join other schools in the state to provide young people with an opportunity to learn in a safe and supportive environment using individualised learning plans tailored to each student's circumstances.
* Actioning approved development plan and model
* Policymaking and implementation, providing recommendations for change
* Draft production of annual report
* Staff management including recruitment, performance reviews, and disciplinary action as needed
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Ensuring compliance against school operating procedures
* Managing the day-to-day running of the allocated location(s)
* Managing a functional unit with complex objectives and significant resources
* Assisting with efficiency analysis and implementing solutions
* Planning, proposing, and implementing school improvements
* Liaising with regulatory bodies and maintaining compliance
* Data collection, review, and reporting
* Expenditure within approved budget
* Subject teaching as per employment contract
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A deep understanding of effective teaching, learning, and classroom management practices
* Demonstrated experience as an exemplary teacher
* Demonstrated capacity for educational leadership within a school setting
* Demonstrated ability to lead a team and work within a team
* High-level decision-making skills with minimal consultation
Qualifications and Requirements
You must have:
* Qualification in Teaching
* National Police Check issued in the 3 months prior to commencement and annually thereafter
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* Hold a current VIT registration (VIC)
