Work a 9 days on 5 days off roster earning a salary of $ pa plus Super
OR
Work a 7 days on 7 days off roster earning 5 weeks Annual Leave and a Salary of $*****pa plus Super.
The Position
Work collaboratively with a team of Chefs Kitchen Utilities and Dining Room employees
Buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast and Crib Lunch or Dinner and Desserts
Ensure OH&S compliance adhering to safe work practices and food handling procedures
Ensure all catering controls are in place and wastage is kept to the minimum
Maintain high standards of food hygiene safety infection control and cleanliness inaccordance with Compass standards
Assist Head Chefs in managing team performance and employee development
The Person
You will be a qualified Chef with a minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery or Equivalent
Bulk catering or buffet experienceis essential.
You will have the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and great time management is a must.
Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations
Excellent knowledge of food safety and able to manage compliance.
